Guntur Kaaram Director Trivikram Compares Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Popularity To That Of Rajinikanth
Samantha Ruth Prabhu attended the Jigra pre-release event in Hyderabad, where Trivikram said that her fan base is equal to that of Rajinikanth.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, on Tuesday, attended the pre-release event of Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer Jigra in Hyderabad. The event was also attended by Rana Daggubati and director Trivikram Srinivas. During the event, the director praised Samantha and said that her fan base was equal to that of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.
What did Trivikram say about Samantha Ruth Prabhu?
The Guntur Kaaram director praised the actress and said, “I was just telling Alia Bhatt garu on how Rajinikanth sir is the only actor who has a solid fanbase in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages. Now, I think after Rajinikanth garu, Samantha has an equal fanbase in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. I am not saying this simply out of love for Samantha. I am saying this wholeheartedly.”
For the unversed, the duo has worked together in movies – S/O Satyamurthy, Atharintiki Daaredi and A Aa.

During the same event, Alia also went on to praise the actress and called her “pan-Indian superstar”. She "My dearest Samantha, you are a hero on and off-screen. I have so much admiration for your talent, for your resilience, for your strength. It's not easy to be a woman in a man's world, but you have surpassed gender. You stand tall on your two feet, and you have your talent, and your strong kicks to be an example for everyone."
Alia also requested Trivikram to cast her and Samantha in one film.
What's next for Samantha Ruth Prabhu?
The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her web series Citadel Honey Bunny, co-starring Varun Dhawan. Helmed by Raj & DK, Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga and Emma Canning play key roles in it. The series is scheduled to stream on Prime Video on November 7.
