Venkatesh is currently gearing up for the release of his next film, Saindhav. The project is headed in for a massive box office clash owing to its Sankranti weekend release date - a weekend which will see through the release of multiple big banner projects in quick succession. The trailer for Saindhav was recently launched with the makers hosting an event for the same. The event saw Venkatesh address rumours of him working with Chiranjeevi soon.
Venkatesh to work with Chiranjeevi?
Not only is Venkatesh open to the idea of working with Chiranjeevi, but he also has ideas regarding the kind of role that would be a better fit for the latter. At the trailer launch for his film Saindhav, the actor has categorically revealed how if Chiranjeevi and he were to share screen space, he has always imagined the Waltair Verayya actor as someone who would assume an authoritative character and order him around, on screen.
He said, "I am looking forward to collaborating with him. We always wanted to work together. But for that to happen, we need a good story. If writers can come up with some nice stories, we will definitely collaborate. I always imagine him playing an authoritative person who would order me to do things." For the unversed, the recently hosted Venky75 event, in lieu of celebrating Venkatesh's 75th release - Saindhav, saw Chiranjeevi express his desire to work with his "brother Venky". Venkatesh had replied in the affirmative sparking rumours of the two potentially sharing screen space in the future.
When Chiranjeevi inspired Venkatesh
The Venky75 event also saw Venkatesh dive into an anecdote about how it was Chiranjeevi's stellar comeback which inspired him to stay on in the film industry when he had been at the cusp of quitting. Venkatesh revealed, “I would have gone to the Himalayas seeking peace after bidding adieu to acting...If not for Chiranjeevi's comeback film Khaidi No 150. He delivered a blockbuster after nine years hiatus and proved his crowd-pulling prowess once again...We shouldn't stop and keep doing our work.”
