Kunal Kapur is currently busy shooting for Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter in Hungry with Saif Ali Khan. However, this isn’t stopping him from signing another movie. The actor has joined the ensemble star cast of the mega movie Vishwambhara, starring Chiranjeevi.
The official X handle of UV Creations shared a monochrome photo of Kunal welcoming him onboard. “Welcoming the man with an electrifying charisma, @kapoorkkunal on board to the MAJESTIC WORLD of #Vishwambhara,” read the caption. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the actor has been roped in for a pivotal role.
The fantasy drama also stars Trisha Krishnan, Ashika Ranganath, Meenakshi Chaudhary and others.
Helmed by Vassishta, the movie is being produced by Vikram, Vamsi and Pramod under the banner of UV Creations. As per a report by Aakashavaani, Chiranjeevi and his team have finished shooting for a first-of-its-kind interval action sequence. The action block was being shot for the last 26 days in a set with a massive 54 ft. Hanuman statue. In the movie, Chiranjeevi plays a man named Dorababu. The megastar will be shown in a larger-than-life avatar, revealing a different side of the actor., while Trisha has been roped in for a dual role. It will reportedly cost between ₹150 and ₹200 crore. MM Keeravaani, an Oscar-winning music composer, will compose songs for the film. The film which involves high-end VFX with the story set in a fantasy world is getting ready to release in theatres during Sankranthi 2025.
