After Sivakumar smacked off a mobile phone from a selfie-seeking fan last year and even apologised for it, the Tamil actor did so once again. Like last time, his action sparked memes and even the hashtag  #SelfieKillerSivakumar.

In a video that is going viral on social media, we see a man bringing his mobile phone in front of the veteran actor’s face as he arrived at an event. Sivakumar knocked it aside and walked ahead as if nothing has happened.

Following his ‘redux’, netizens created the hashtag #SelfieKillerSivakumar and several reactions were recorded in it.

While one called it ‘worst behaviour’, another defended it as the ‘right thing’.

A Twitter user felt, considering the last incident, the person intentionally tried to click a selfie to provoke him.

Many created memes involving his son, Tamil superstar Suriya, one in a reference from the Tamil remake of ‘Drishyam’ starring Kamal Haasan. Another quipped that he doesn’t like selfies because Suriya doesn’t feature in the song ‘Selfie Pulla.’

How professors behave on the last day of submission, how he was ‘one solution’ to mother’s ‘five problems’ of social media apps, were some of the funny reactions.

Sivakumar had made headlines for the same reason in October last year.  Unlike the recent incident, the phone was slightly farther than his face then and he had stretched his body and pulled the phone down with some force then.

There were several memes that had surfaced on the incident at that time too.

Sivakumar had, however, apologised for the incident, saying he was someone who never hesitated to pose for photographs, but selfies invaded the privacy of the celebrities who he said were not ‘public property.’ He had reportedly bought a new phone for the youngster.
