In studies, some people using Mounjaro experienced weight loss. This may be because the drug works to slow down the digestion process, which in turn can help one feel full for a longer time. The drug also decreased blood sugar levels and improved the body’s response to insulin which helps manage type 2 diabetes better. This also aids in weight loss. In addition, this drug can cause nausea or decreased appetite, which can lead to weight loss.
Moreover, Mounjaro contains the active ingredient tirzepatide (an active ingredient makes a drug work). Another drug, Zepbound, also contains the same active ingredient and is approved for weight loss.
