2019 Lok Sabha Election Dates | Which state - which phase: Here's when each state will vote in the Indian General Elections

The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced the dates for the Lok Sabha polls for 2019.  The ECI announced that the polling will take place in seven phases for all the 29 states and seven Union Territories beginning from April 11 to May 7, 2019. The results will be announced on May 23, 2019.

The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced the dates for the Lok Sabha polls for 2019.  The ECI announced that the polling will take place in seven phases for all the 29 states and seven Union Territories beginning from April 11 to May 7, 2019. The results will be announced on May 23, 2019.

The Model Code of Conduct comes into effect from today in the entire country.

Here are the date of the polls for each phase and the number of seats from the states which will have polling in these phases:

Phase 1: Polling on April 11

Andhra Pradesh - 25 seats

Arunachal- 2 seats

Assam - 5 seats

Bihar - 4 seats

Chhattisgarh - 7 seats

Jammu and Kashmir- 2 seats

Maharashtra- 7 seats

Manipur - 1 seat

Meghalaya - 2 seats

Mizoram - 1 seat

Nagaland - 1 seat

Orissa - 4 seats

Sikkim -1 seat

Telangana  - 17 seats

Tripura - 1 seat

Uttar Pradesh - 8 seat

West Bengal - 2 seats

Andaman Nicobar- 1 seat

Total - 91 seats


Phase 2:  Polling on April 18

Assam - 5 seats

Bihar - 5 seats

Chhattisgarh  - 3 seats

Jammu and Kashmir - 2 seats
