The BJP candidate contesting from Adampur, Sonali Phogat, has lost to the three-time Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi, but before the results were declared, she alleged that Congress was leading because of the booth capturing on the polling day. Phogat had earlier accused the Congress candidate Kuldeep Bishnoi’s men of surrounding her at a polling booth. The Tik-Tok star, who was contesting from Adampur constituency in Haryana, managed to secure 34,169 seats, while her rival Kuldeep Bishnoi won with 63,483 seats in the constituency. She later said that she is a "winner" even she has lost the polls as she connected with nearly 35,000 people within 10 days of campaigning.

‘Booth Capturing’

Before the results were declared, a reporter asked Sonali Phogat about the accusations that she had made against the Congress's Kuldeep Bishnoi. She said, “Congress’s lead in the ongoing vote count is the result of the booth capturing and other things that happened on the day of polling. I did talk about re-polling back then; this is my first election and I got confused about what should I do in that kind of situation. I still think that there should be repolling.”

Sonali Phogat while talking to the reporters spoke about repolling as she accused the Congress candidate Kuldeep Bishnoi’s men of booth capturing on election day. This happened as she visited the Girls School in Mandi Adampur to cast her vote and Kuldeep Bishnoi’s men surrounded her. She immediately called the BJP party member, professor Sampat Singh for help who later called the police. He asked the police to send the crowd outside the 100-meter radius and enable voters to cast their votes fearlessly.

When asked about what according to her went wrong during the elections, Sonali Phogat said, “They (opposition) have been in connection with people for 52 years and I was just appointed 15 days ago. Out of these 15 days, I was able to go out on the field for only 10 days. You guys should appreciate my hard work, I was able to make a connection with 35,000 people in just 10 days. I think the fact that I have achieved this feat, I am a winner.” Speaking about her party, BJP, Sonali Phogat said, “The results for all the seats have not been declared yet, the trends show 35 to 36 seats for BJP now. BJP will surely secure the majority vote share. I tried my best to get involved with the people in this year’s election and I accept people’s decision. I will try harder in the next term.”
