After securing 10 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections, Jannayak Janta Party's Haryana President Sardar Nishant Singh on Friday, October 25, claimed JJP has invitations from both Congress and the BJP to form a government as both parties lack the majority number required to form the government.

"We have invitations from both sides. We will take our decision only after discussing it with our elected candidates. If there is no clear majority for BJP, obviously the mandate is against them. We will decide our stand after the meeting," Nishant Singh said while interacting with the media.

The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) are expected to hold a meeting with the MLAs and the national executive members on October 25. In the election results that came out a day earlier on Thursday, the newly formed JJP won 10 seats and the Bhartiya Janata Party won 40 seats making it the single largest party in the States.

'BJP will form the government in Haryana'- Haryana BJP chief

On Friday, October 25, Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala claimed that the BJP will form the government in the State with the support of independent legislators, as the party lacked the absolute majority required to form a government on its own.
"Independ7ent candidates have come to BJP's side. The government will be formed under the leadership of ML Khattar Ji. He is coming to Delhi today to hold discussions," he said.
Having won 40 out of 90 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections, BJP still needs the support of six MLAs to be able to retain its government in the state.

Haryana in-charge of the BJP Anil Jain also claimed that the party will once again form its government in the state.
"With the blessing of people of Haryana, we will again form government in the state. We have emerged as the single largest party," the Haryana BJP in-charge said.
