After the deplorable Pulwama terror attack against Indian soldiers, calls for an all-round boycott of Pakistan have rung across the entire nation. In an unprecedented move, the BCCI has also prepared a draft letter asking the ICC to ban Pakistan from participating in the upcoming World Cup. However, this has not gone down well with Congress leader Shashi Tharoor as the leader has compared the Pulwama terror attack with the Kargil War by jotting down the example of a match played between the two countries 'at the height of the 1999 war'.

Taking to twitter Tharoor 'reminded' that "at the height of the 1999 Kargil War, India played Pakistan in the cricket World Cup, and won'.

Tharoor's tweet comes at a time when the entire nation is shocked at the cowardly terror attack by Pakistan-based terror outfit in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama in which over 40 of paramilitary jawans attained martyrdom. However, the leader further argues that 'forfeiting the match this year would not just cost two points: it would be worse than surrender'. Take a look at his tweet:

Earlier on Thursday, the United Nations Security Council issued a strong note of condemnation and named the Jaish-e-Mohammad. The Modi government's efforts in the wake of the attack to garner global consensus against Pakistan's continued backing and export of terrorism have overcome months, potentially years, of China's backing for its 'all-weather friend'.

"The member of Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the heinous and cowardly suicide bombing in Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in over 40 Indian paramilitary forces dead and dozens wounded on February 14, 2019, for which Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility. The member of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Indian people and the government of India, and wished a speedy and full recovery to those who were injured. The members of the Security Council reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security", read the UN Security Council statement.

Moreover, Union Water resources, River development and water resources minister Nitin Gadkari tweeted that the Modi government will stop the share of water that used to flow into Pakistan and divert it for the use of people in J&K and the Punjab. Talking to Twitter, he announced:
