After LK Advani posted a blog ahead of the anniversary of BJP's foundation day, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal asked PM Narendra Modi asking him to pay heed to the BJP leader's thoughts in the post.

Sibal tweeted saying:

"Advani:

Never regarded those who disagreed with us politically as enemies or anti-national , only adversaries .

Under Modi ji BJP's thought processes have been both :

Changed
and
Maimed

Listen Modi ji to one who helped you in your journey to Delhi !"

The Congress and other parties in the Opposition have been politicising the operation by Indian Air Force against terror camps located across the LoC in J&K. They have demanded proof of the operation and of the number of terrorists killed in it, leading to several in the BJP slamming the Opposition over the politicisation of a national security issue.

Advani in his blog post wrote that the party never regarded its opposition as its 'enemies' or 'anti-nationals' writing:

"The essence of Indian democracy is respect for diversity and freedom of expression. Right from its inception, the BJP has never regarded those who disagree with us politically as our 'enemies', but only as our adversaries."

PM Narendra Modi lauded LK Advani's blog saying 'it captures the true essence of BJP and that it filled him with pride to share his political journey with such a great leader like Advani'.
