Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Sharma spoke exclusively to Republic TV on Wednesday ahead of Supreme Court's final decision in the Ayodhya case. He said, "From the beginning, the Supreme Court wanted the parties to take the decision by mutual understanding. For that, efforts were also started, it did not succeed that's a different subject. If such developments happen at the last moment, what can be better than this?"

'Everyone wants a solution'

Speaking about the developments in the Supreme Court on Wednesday and the possibility of a Ram Mandir, the Deputy CM said, "See, from small kids to adults, from Hindu to Muslim, want the solution on the issue as soon as possible. In the decision the context of Ram Janmbhoomi, the decision of the Honourable court should be out quickly. Everyone wants a solution to this. I would say this will be a historic initiative, that the court will give its decision on a case that is decades old, there cannot be a more historic fact than this."

'Government will maintain law and order'

On being asked about the administrative measures taken by the government ahead of the historic decision to maintain peace and harmony in the state, he replied, "In the past two and a half years, in the government led by Yogi Adityanath, not one communal riot has taken place, this is the biggest achievement of the government and the government won't let anything happen this time too. The government won't allow any communal tension to rise, no one will be allowed to break the law and it will maintain law and order in the state, no matter what."
