Days after sweeping 23 out of 25 Parliamentary seats in Andhra Pradesh in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, and winning 151 assembly seats in the state, YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday held meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi.
Ahead of taking oath on May 30, the Andhra Pradesh-designate discussed the issue of special status for the state with PM Modi during the meeting, as per inputs. Furthermore, inputs also told that Jagan Mohan Reddy has invited the Prime Minister to his swearing-in ceremony in Andhra Pradesh which is set to take place on May 30. Other leaders of YSRCP such as V Vijaya Sai Reddy were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, the YSRCP chief also presented the Prime Minister with a bouquet and a shawl during.
Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister posted a tweet sharing glimpses of the meeting. In the tweet, he wrote, "We had a fruitful discussion on many issues related to the development of Andhra Pradesh. I promised to help as much as possible from the center of his tenure."

On May 23, YSRCP decimated Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh in 2019 Lok Sabha polls and Assembly elections, by winning 151 seats out 175-seater AP assembly leaving on 23 seats for TDP and only 3 Lok Sabha seats.
