Super Chef Sanjeev Kapoor tweeted about cooking for the Kargil Vijay Diwas on Thursday. Kapoor said that he would be guiding the team which would be cooking dinner for the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations at the Batra Transit at Dras in Jammu and Kashmir. The celebrity chef also spoke about how the feeling of cooking for the armed forces was unmatched when compared to his experience of preparing a meal for dignitaries.
Among several pictures posted by the chef was one about the menu. The menu for celebrations dinner include - Khadey Masale Ka Kukkad, Makhmali Paneer Anardana, Heeng Harey Dhaniya Ke Aloo, Lalla Mussa Dal, Protein Pulao, Palak Puri & Masala Puri and ended with Kargil Vijay Diwas Kheer.

One of the specialities in the menu is the Tiranga kheer. A special three-layer Tiranga kheer will be prepared on the theme of the 20th anniversary of Kargil Divas.
"Kheer (sweet dish) is meant for all occasions. So I chose the same as the theme item of the event," the popular chef said.
Sanjeev Kapoor spoke exclusively to Republic TV describing his dedication to the Forces.
"All Veer Naris and soldiers posted here will have a special tribute. We created a special meal. We also created a new dish Tiranga kheer based on the theme - Remember, Rejoice, Renew. We created a new kheer made out of green peas. We have cooked for dignitaries including world leaders, but we felt that giving our time to those who have given their lives for the country, is the best thing we could do and would be a real tribute," he said.
