Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen shared a funny video on photo and video sharing website Instagram on Saturday. In the video, a group of young boys is playing cricket. There is a batsman with a helmet, a wicketkeeper and two close-in fielders including a person fielding in the slips. Suddenly, another boy runs into the bowl. At this juncture, there is a twist in the tale. For, he does not deliver the ball and instead, jumps on the surface of the batsman’s bat to land directly in the lap of the slip fielder. Later, the boys are witnessed enjoying the moment. Pietersen also shared this on the microblogging website Twitter, describing it as 'genius'.

Apart from sharing such light-hearted moments on social media, Pietersen is also known to be a passionate advocate of welfare and conservation of animals. On Friday, he expressed his fury on the seizure of massive lion bones, reported on World Animal Day. He quoted an agency report in which the South African authorities recovered 342 kg of lion bones at the Johannesburg airport. Advocating the theory that the poachers were initially killing animals and poisoning them, only for the lions to feast on their poisoned carcasses, he strongly condemned this tactic. Recently, he also supported the fundraising for the 'Remembering Lions' initiative, the proceeds of which would go towards the conservation of lions.
So, poachers are poaching animals now & poisoning them so that the lions that come and feed on the carcass get poisoned and die. An easier way to kill them for their bones.— Kevin Pietersen🦏 (@KP24) October 4, 2019
