In its bid to disrupt the peace in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan is desperate to push in trained terrorists into the Indian side of the Line of Control (LOC). The Pakistan Army has reactivated a large number of terror launch pads.

The Indian Army had also issued a warning that any attempt to breach the sanctity of the line of control would be severely dealt with and anybody trying to cross the Line of Control would be eliminated.

Ever since the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of the State of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, Pakistan is desperate as there has been no major violence in the region.

The Indian army has said that it is fully prepared to deal with any eventuality as any attempt to cross the line of control will get a “befitting response”.

“The Indian Army is fully prepared and will be able to take any challenge depending on the condition and opportunity that come at a particular time. Our warning stands, and if anybody from the other side of LoC with the help of Pakistan, try to enter into our territory will get a befitting response. Our strategy is clear and the jawans who are deployed at LoC have clear instructions (of how to deal with such a situation)... If any attempt is made they will get a befitting response”, the Northern Army Commander Lt. General Ranbir Singh had said during a function at Bhaderwah.

When asked about the number of terrorists waiting on launch pads to infiltrate into the Indian side, Gen Singh said, “As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned and I have told earlier also, there are around 200-300 terrorists who have entered into our territory and indulged into terror activities likewise in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and in the launch pads there are around 500 terrorists present at a given time trying to infiltrate but these are approximate figures and they keep on changing. Some more are trained and some get deradicalised, hence these numbers keep on changing but you people should be concerned with our capabilities and I assure no matter what the figure is, we will be able to control it and restore peace in the State.”

Terrorists being trained by Pak Army

According to the received intelligence inputs, the terrorists are being trained by Pakistan Army at several training camps located at Chakothi, Muzzafarabad, Nelum Valley and Khyber Pakthunwa after which the terrorists are brought to the launch pads located near the Line of Control.

Republic Media Network has accessed an exclusive map of terror launch pads situated in PoK, these launch pads are located in Sher Khan, Domail, Dudgai, Toabat, Sardari, Kel and Shardi areas on the Line of Control.

Intel inputs suggest that infiltration attempts from North Kashmir are being made before the heavy onset of the winters as heavy snowfall would make infiltration impossible. “After the snowfall, the infiltration routes in Kashmir valley get blocked so the focus shifts towards the Jammu region. Hence nothing is left on chance” a senior Army official said.

The Army maintains that a robust Anti-Infiltration grid is in place along the line of control where not only the soldiers but also the equipment keep around the clock vigil.
