PM Modi congratulates people who participated in the cleanliness drive

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while commenting on a tweet by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, where he talked about a clean and green village in Assam, said Cleanliness powered by community initiatives is always wonderful to see. He also congratulated everyone for their efforts on this Swachhata effort.

Sonowal's appreciation for the village

Sonowal posted a tweet where he had praised the people of a particular community for coming together for the cleanliness initiative. In his tweet, he also embedded a video that shows the story behind the village being clean and green.

In the video, a resident of the Belona village is seen saying that the people there have endeavoured cleanliness for years and that they have made conscious efforts to help the village make its mark on a national level.

The video also shows how Belona is the first village that has been declared clean and green by Sonowal in Assam. It also talks about how the village has set an example in cleanliness and how the residents of the village work collectively towards making cleanliness as a principle.

In the video, the residents are also seen praising PM Modi for waging a war against plastic use and can also be seen talking about how they collectively want to become a part of it under the leadership of CM Sonowal.
