Rajnath Singh speaks to pilots of crashed MiG-29K aircraft, prays for their well-being
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to both pilots who safely ejected from the crashed MiG-29K aircraft and extended his good wishes for their well-being.

Reacting to the crash of the MiG-29K aircraft on Saturday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh revealed that he had spoken to both pilots who safely ejected. He expressed his satisfaction that both of them were safe. Singh extended his good wishes for their well-being.
Spoke to the pilots, Capt Mrigank and Deepak Yadav of the MiG-29K which crashed after the take-off from Goa today.

It is a matter of great satisfaction that they managed to eject in time and both of them are safe. I pray for their good health and well-being.

Crash results in dense dark smoke
On Saturday morning, a MiG-29K aircraft of the Indian Navy crashed in Goa. The crash took place at the Verna industrial plateau which was an unpopulated area. The visuals indicated that the crash resulted in a vast column of dense dark smoke. Few people managed to take pictures of the pilots making use of the parachutes. As per ANI, the aircraft was a trainer version of the actual fighter jet.

Official reaction from Indian Navy
The Indian Navy spokesperson revealed more information about the accident. It was stated that the aircraft took off for a training mission from INS HANSA at Dabolim in Goa. Moreover, it was confirmed that the two pilots- Captain M Sheokhand and Lt Cdr Deepak Yadav ejected safely. The pilots were commended for their timely action for saving civilian lives by taking the aircraft away from populated areas.
