Following the astonishing moment in the final Lok Sabha Assembly, where Mulayam Singh Yadav mounted praises for PM Narendra Modi, Congress party leader Sanjay Nirupam has essentially called for an "official retirement age" in politics.

In a tweet, the Mumbai Congress chief stated that "After listening to Netaji's speech, I strongly believe that there should be a retirement age set in politics."

The insulting tweet comes right after Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, "I disagree with him. But I respect Mulayam Singh Yadav for his role in politics."

Mulayam Singh Yadav in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday declared that he wants PM Narendra Modi back as the next Prime Minister.

While addressing the members of Parliament, standing right next to Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, his words were, "We want you to become the prime minister once again."

Similar to Congress, a difference in opinion was witnessed even within Samajwadi Party over the party founder's statement. SP leader Abu Azmi stated that Akhilesh Yadav is the president and has the final say.

He said, "I don't think Mulayam Singh ji said that and Akhilesh Yadav is the president and whatever he will decide will be done. He is forming alliances, then how can something else be? The decision making power is completely in the hands of Akhilesh ji."

Mulayam Singh also laid heaps of praises on PM Modi in the Parliament.

"When he talks, I would only like to say, you have managed the parliament really well.  I want to congratulate the Prime Minister. Prime Minister, you have worked for everyone. This is absolutely correct, whenever I asked for something you immediately ordered for it. Anything wrong, you corrected it. I really appreciate and respect you for taking everyone along. (inaudible) It's really difficult to please everyone. But still, nobody speaks against you or makes any comment against you. For this, I would like to congratulate you. And I hope, along with the Parliament that you should win again. This is my wish. We couldn't win the majority. We want you to become the Prime Minister once again," he said.
