After Donald Trump made his false claim during his meeting with Pakistan PM Imran Khan that PM Narendra Modi had invited him to mediate between two countries over Kashmir issue, the matter has become fodder for the Opposition to play against the Centre. While the Opposition refuses to accept the External Affairs Ministry's statement which it has repeated over and over again saying that PM Modi never made such a request to Trump, the people of the nation can see through the US President's falsehood.

Netizens on Twitter, many of themselves big personalities, went hammer and tongs over Trump's bizarre claim of being invited to mediate over Kashmir, many of which would make us cackle.

MEA rebuffs Trump's claim

Late night on Monday, the Ministry of External Affairs rebuffed Donald Trump's claim, that he has been asked by PM Modi to mediate the Kashmir issue with Pakistan, and explicitly stated that 'all outstanding issues with Pakistan are discussed only bilaterally' and that India has been consistent with its position in regards the neighbour. Rejecting a third-party mediation, MEA said that no such request has been made by PM Modi to the US President. The statement further reiterated India's stand on Pakistan that 'terror and talks don't hand in hand'
