BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has beaten PM Narendra Modi, who has a long list of titles as a leading Indian political figure on several social media platforms, in a study on most interactive politicians on Twitter.

As per a report, Swamy, in the study conducted by Dentsu Webchutney Research Labs, was ranked at the top in a list of the 50 most interactive politicians on Twitter.

The list was created on the basis of how the politicians did on these parameters - the total number of followers, original tweets (excluding retweets and replies), engagement per original tweet, response rate measured as replies to the public, and total retweets. The study was conducted in February, the report said. It adds that politicians who have replied to citizens, used the local language, liked responses, clarified comments from dubious reports and followed citizens back have also done well in the list.

The study mentions that Swamy wrote at least six original tweets a day, the report said.
