Rae Bareli: Gandhi Seva Niketan students attack Child Welfare Officer

Students of the Gandhi Seve Niketan of Rae Bareli attacked their teacher Mamata Dubey. The victim teacher has accused the manager of instigating the students

A female teacher was allegedly beaten up by a group of students inside a classroom at the Gandhi Seva Niketan in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. The victim teacher, whose name has been identified as Mamata Daubey is working as a Child Welfare officer at the Gandhi Seva Niketan Organisation. The incident was recorded in a CCTV camera which was installed in the classroom. In the derived CCTV footage, one of the students from the classroom can also be seen throwing a chair in Mamata's direction.

The victim teacher allegedly blamed the manager of the Gandhi Seva Niketan for instigating the students to launch an attack on her. As per the reports, Mamata Dubey was taking her class when all the students suddenly became agitated and started beating her up.

'The manager has been trying to harass me'- Mamata Dubey

She somehow managed to run away from the classroom and the manager of the organisation. As per the reports, the manager informed the media that the children got enraged because Mamata often called them orphans and used to scold them. The victim teacher, however, had another side of the story to tell. Dubey, meanwhile, said that she had an argument with the manager who even went on to remove her from the service, stating that she had been reinstated on the intervention of the former District Magistrate Neha Sharma. The victim teacher even went on to blame the manager of the Gandhi Seva Niketan of harassing her after the transfer of the former District Magistrate.

"After Neha Sharma was transferred, the manager has been trying to harass me and even orchestrated this attack on me," Mamata Dubey said.

Meanwhile, Mamata Dubey has filed a complaint against the manager of the organisation at the City Magistrate and the matter is being looked upon by the concerned officials.
