WATCH: "Thanks 2018", says BJP listing glories from the year gone by, all of which sum total one thing - Happiness

While everyone will have their view on how 2018's been and whether they want the year to end or just keep going, for the BJP there are no two ways about. 

The party that is ruling at the Centre has 'thanked 2018' while listing a number of the achievements of its government, all of which sum total to "Happiness".

The video is upbeat and full of colour, and draws achievements from a number of fields. Here's a list of things to be proud of:

It says that in the last year, India has changed its priorities - Poor first, Nation first

In the sporting sphere:

• Sports stars from small towns won honours (citing Hima Das)
• India's win at the U-19 Cricket World Cup
• India's record performance in Asian Games

In terms of building things, especially infra projects:

• First Airport in Sikkim
• International Solar Alliance (ISA) Meeting in India
• India built the tallest statue in the world - the Statue of Unity
• Asia's longest Rail-Road bridge - the Bogibeel bridge
• One of the longest tunnels in Asia - Zojila Pass tunnel
• India's first waterway, between Haldia and Prayagraj made operational

Leaps in the social sphere and in rural areas:

• Poverty being eliminated at record rates - India no longer has the most number of poor people in the world, Nigeria does
• World's largest insurance scheme - Ayushman Bharat & Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana
• All villages electrified
• Saubhagya Yojana
• Sanitation coverage reaches 98% from 38% in 2014

Firsts and other landmarks:

• Tricolour hoisted at Red Fort to commemorate 75th anniversary of Azad Hind Government
• First woman fighter pilot
• Isro launched its 100th satellite Cartosat

History-making achievements:

• India completes its nuclear triad
• Highest ever rank in ease of doing business - 77
• UN's Highest Champions of the world award
