'You are throwing us under the bus to save your skin': Twitter legal head slammed by person in the photo

The photo of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, wherein he was standing with a few activists and journalists while holding a placard which read 'Smash Brahminical Patriarchy', became viral for all the wrong reasons.

One of the most influential person of arguably the biggest social media website, endorsing such a provocative message, did not go down well with social media users of his own company. A number of Twitter users slammed Jack for being a part of the photograph along with the placard.

The heat was on the social media company amidst the anger of people, and Twitter responded by stating that its CEO did not have an idea about what was panning out. Legal head Vijaya Gadde, who was also a part of the photo, also apologised for the mistake on her organization's part.

But soon after the 'sorry' message, Anna MM Vetticad, who was also standing with the others in the picture, hit out at Vijaya, stating her claim that the photograph was a 'private pic' was totally false.

It all began when Anna had posted the image on Twitter with a message, "During Twitter CEO @jack's visit here, he & Twitter's Legal head @vijaya took part in a round table with some of us women journalists, activists, writers & @TwitterIndia's @amritat to discuss the Twitter experience in India. A very insightful, no-words-minced conversation"

A number of people took offence to the placard being carried by Jack in the photo, and hit out at him. One such user was KBS Ramachandra.

Vijaya, receiving flak from a number of users, responded to Ramachandra's message by stating that she was sorry for how things panned out. "I'm very sorry for this. It's not relective of our views. We took a private photo with a gift just given to us - we should have been more thoughtful. Twitter strives to be an impartial platform for all. We failed to do that here & we must do better to serve our customers in India," her message read.

It was then followed by Anna replying to her tweet, attacking the Twitter legal head for apologizing.
