In a big breaking development, the Jharkhand High Court on Friday has granted bail to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fodder scam pertaining to the Deoghar treasury. Even as the RJD leader has received bail in the Fodder scam, in order to come out of jail, the former CM of Bihar will have to seek bail in other fodder scam cases as well.

"On the ground that the sentence was for three-and-half-years and it has been more than 1.5 years now. Another man convicted with Lalu Prasad was also granted bail after 1.5 years of sentence, so giving that as the argument we sought the bail from the court. Rs. 50,000 security has been sought by the court. On the matter of passport, we told that his passport has already been expired. However, he has not been granted bail in two other cases. Following bails in those two cases only he will be out of jail," Lalu Prasad's advocate Prabhat Kumar said speaking to media in the matter.

Prasad has been serving jail term in a number of fodder scam cases in the Birsa Munda Jail of Ranchi.
