2 Killed in Collison Between Bike and Tempo in UP

Banda: Two people lost their lives in a collision between a tempo and a motorcycle in Atarra area here, police said on Monday.

"The tempo travelling from Banda collided head-on with the motorcycle coming from Atarra. Four people were severely injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. Doctors pronounced motorcycle riders Vijay Tiwari (52) and Anil Singh (44) dead upon arrival," he said.
The officer said the two injured tempo passengers have been admitted to a government hospital.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem. Both vehicles involved in the accident have been seized and an investigation is underway, he added.
3 Dead as Truck Runs Over Pavement Dwellers in Northeast Delhi
Three persons died after a truck allegedly ran over five people sleeping on a footpath in the Shastri Park area of northeast Delhi in the early hours of Monday, police said.
The alleged incident occurred around 5:30 am, the police said.
An officer said the victims were homeless and sleeping on the footpath.
The victims were taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital where three were declared dead. The two others were shifted to GTB Hospital, the officer added.
Teams have been formed to nab the truck driver and efforts are underway to identify the dead, the officer further said.
