Dindigul (TamilNadu) At least two people were killed in an explosion at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district on Sunday, according to police. Dindigul Superintendent of Police Pratheep confirmed the incident, said, "Two persons died in an explosion at a firecracker manufacturing factory at Natham in Dindigul district."

This tragic event follows another industrial accident in Maharashtra just a day earlier. On Saturday, a boiler explosion at a steel factory in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Jalna city left 22 workers injured. The condition of three of the workers is reported to be critical, according to Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Bansal.
The critically injured workers have been admitted to a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for treatment. An official from the factory revealed that the plant specializes in manufacturing steel bars from scrap materials. The police are currently recording statements from the injured workers as part of their investigation. Legal action is being taken against the owner of the company in connection with the explosion.
