Family of 4, Including 2 Children, Shot Dead in Amethi; CM Yogi Promises Strict Action

Amethi: In Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi, a family of four members including two children were shot dead after a group of miscreants barged into their house in the Shivratanganj area. Among the victims is a government teacher, whose entire family was murdered by the assailants. The incident occurred on Thursday night in the Shivratanganj area, following which the local police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to the mortuary of a hospital. A case has been registered at the Shivratanganj police station and efforts to nab the culprits have been initiated.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident and expressed his grief over the murder of the four members of the family in Amethi. He immediately directed the officials to rush to the spot and ensure stringent action against those involved in the murder incident.

Superintendent of Police (Amethi) Anoop Singh stated that the victim's family, a resident of Raebareli, which belonged to the SC/ST category had filed a case under the SC/ST Act. The police have registered a case of murder of the government teacher and his wife and children has been registered and a probe has been initiated.
