Aligarh Street Turns Into Ambush Zone, Four Masked Men Fire Multiple Rounds, Target Two Youths

Aligarh: A murder was caught live on camera in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh in the wee hours on Friday after some unidentified assailants opened fire on two men who were standing outside a house in Aligarh's Telipada area, waiting for Sehri during Ramzan. 

CCTV footage of the heart-wrenching incident showed two youths were standing and having a discussion on a street outside a house in Aligarh's Telipada area. As they were having a chat, four unidentified men entered the street on two bikes, took out guns from their pockets and started firing continuously.

The two youths, who were targeted, tried to escape the scene when one of them fell on the ground as the miscreants kept firing on him. Though, one of them died on the spot, the condition of the other man is not known yet as he was able to escape the attack.

The ambush occurred at around 3:30 AM on Friday, just before Sehri prayers on Street number 9 in Aligarh's Telipada.

Attackers fired 8-9 rounds, turned locality into ambush zone 

According to an eyewitness, one of the victims identified as Harish aka Katta had returned home after playing cricket and was talking to some another person on the street.

As they were having a discussion, four masked men, who arrived on two bikes, opened relentless firing on the two youths.

While one of them was able to fled the scene, Harish who was already injured with the initial bullets hitting him, fell on the ground. The attackers kept firing on him and opened 8-9 rounds until he died. Later, it was found that Harish had received 7 bullets on his stomach and back.

As the locality was turned into an ambush zone, nearby residents rushed outside and tried to chase the attackers. When they were chasing them, the attackers didn’t hesitate to fire back and it was a near miss to death for many.

Following this incident, the entire locality was in a state of shock and outrage.

Police launch investigation, hunt to nab accused underway

The Police, which swiftly arrived at the scene along with the forensic team, have launched a massive manhunt to nab the four accused who wreaked havoc in a residential locality. As per initial information, it may turn out as a case of inter-gang rivalry.
