Bengaluru: A 19-year-old Bengaluru girl allegedly committed suicide after a fight with her sister over a bedsheet, said a media report. The deceased girl was a second-year BBA student at a private college in Channasandra of Rajarajeshwarinagar area of the city and a resident of Chamarajpet.

The girl's body was found in her room by her family members. As per reports, the girl's father who runs a garmert shop had counselled her and also asked her not to fight with her sister. After this, the girl reportedly went in and locked her room. Later, she was found dead.

Around 6 am on Friday morning, her mother knocked on her bedroom door but received no response. On getting no repsonse, the concerned mother alerted her husband and elder daughter, and together they broke open the door, discovering her hanging from the ceiling. The police did not find any suicide note at the scene. According to the girl's gymmates and trainer, she had been upset about her parents' frequent arguments.

A police officer said, “In addition to conflicts with her sister, there were domestic quarrels between her parents that affected their lives.”
