Bihar Tragedy: Fire Breaks Out at Hut In Patna, Two Minor Brothers Killed

Two brothers, aged eight and four years, were killed after a fire broke out in their hut in Bihar's Patna district.

Patna: In a tragic incident, two young brothers, were killed in a fire incident that broke out in their hut in the Janakpur area of Bihar's Patna district, police said on Monday.

The victims have been identified as Sunny Kumar (8) and Aditya Kumar (4), were the sons of Sudhir Nutt. 

The fire occurred during the night between Sunday and Monday, while the family was asleep inside their hut, under the jurisdiction of Gaurichak police station.

Two Minor Brothers Killed in Patna Fire Incident

Arun Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Gaurichak police station, said that the fire spread rapidly to three nearby huts, causing widespread panic among local residents. 

He further that local residents quickly alerted the police and fire officials, but by the time the fire was extinguished, both boys had perished. Their bodies were sent for a post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing. 

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, officials said.

Family members have claimed that a mosquito repellent may have caused the blaze.
