BJP MP Tejasvi Surya Marries Carnatic Singer Sivasri Skandaprasad

Bengaluru: BJP MP Tejasvi Surya tied the knot with Carnatic vocalist Sivasri Skandaprasad in a traditional wedding ceremony in Bengaluru. The event was attended by several political leaders, including BJP figures like Annamalai, Pratap Simha, Amit Malaviya, BY Vijayendra, and Union Minister V Somanna.

In the photos shared on social media, Ms. Skandaprasad wore a yellow Kanchipuram silk saree with gold jewelry, while Mr. Surya was seen in a white and gold outfit. In another set of pictures, the bride changed into a red-maroon saree, while the BJP MP wore an off-white outfit.

Tejasvi Surya is a two-time Member of Parliament for Bengaluru South and the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

Sivasri Skandaprasad, a Bharatanatyam dancer, holds a bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Sastra University but decided to pursue a career in the arts. She earned a Bharatanatyam degree from the University of Madras.

Known for her songs in the movie franchise 'Ponniyin Selvan' by filmmaker Mani Ratnam, she has gained popularity with more than 1.13 lakh followers on Instagram and over two lakh followers on YouTube.
