New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday took a jibe at the Yogi Adityanath -led Uttar Pradesh government, calling it a "double blunder" instead of a "double engine". He accused the ruling BJP of misleading the public about the Maha Kumbh preparations and spreading false claims.
Speaking to the reporter in Etawah, Yadav said, "The trust of all the devotees who came to Kumbh increased when the Chief Minister said that we have made preparations for the arrival of 100 crore people for Maha Kumbh. When people saw that big, rich, and renowned people were being invited, their trust increased."
However, he strongly criticized the government’s claim that Maha Kumbh was happening after 144 years, calling it a blatant "lie." He remarked, "The biggest lie is that it (Maha Kumbh) is happening after 144 years."
'Double Blunder Govt, Not Double Engine’
Yadav further ridiculed the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government, stating, "This is not a double engine government... This is a 'double blunder' government." His remarks were aimed at exposing what he called false propaganda surrounding the Maha Kumbh event.
