VIDEO: 2 Dead as Truck Drags Vehicles at Lachhiwala Toll Plaza in Dehradun

New Delhi: Dehradun: At least 2 people were killed and several others were injured following an accident near the Lachhiwala toll plaza in Dehradun. The incident occurred after a truck which was coming from Dehradun towards Doiwala lost control and dragged multiple vehicles along. A video of the incident has also emerged and going viral on social media platforms.  

According to eyewitnesses, the speeding truck rammed into several vehicles, causing a massive pile-up. The impact of the collision resulted in the death of 2 people and severe damage to multiple cars and two-wheelers. 

Police officials confirmed that two people lost their lives on the spot, while several others sustained injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. The deceased have been identified as Pankaj Kumar and Ratanmani, both residents of Nathanpur Jogiwala. 

Officials stated that the two were on their way to attend their duties at Tehri Court when the fatal collision occurred.    

Cops are investigating the cause of the accident. Traffic on the busy route was disrupted for hours as officials worked to restore normalcy. 

Meanwhile, emergency services rushed to the scene, and rescue operations were carried out to clear the wreckage and assist the injured.
