Mumbai: The Bombay High Court, on Friday, accepted the petition filed by Disha Salian's father, Satish Salian, seeking a fresh investigation into his daughter's death and on the alleged involvement of Uddhav Thackeray's son and former Maharashtra minister, Aaditya Thackeray.
The writ petition filed by Disha Salian’s father has been submitted to the Bombay High Court registry, and the matter is likely to be mentioned by his lawyer for an urgent hearing next week.
Speaking on the matter, Satish Salian's lawyer, Advocate Nilesh Ojha, stated that they would mention this case on Monday or Tuesday next week for an urgent hearing.
Earlier, on March 19, Satish Salian, father of Disha Salian—who was the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput—broke his silence five years after his daughter's death, claiming that she did not commit suicide but was murdered.
In an exclusive interview to Republic Media Network's Editor-in-Chief, Arnab Goswami , Satish Salian made significant claims, alleging that his daughter was murdered. He demanded a fresh probe into the case, including the alleged role of Aaditya Thackeray.
Seeking a fresh investigation into his daughter's death, Satish Salian pointed out that there were no injury marks on his daughter's body, as one would expect after falling from a high-rise building. He also mentioned that when his daughter died, he was manipulated by everyone around him into believing that whatever the police and other officials were saying was true.
Moreover, Salian's lawyer Nilesh Ojha told Arnab that the absence of bloodstains on the ground or her clothes, raised suspicion that there was more to her death than what had been reported.
Ojha further informed that Satish Salian was under a phycological virtual custody but when he emerged out of that, released the police was lying to him about his daughter's death.
Uddhav Thackeray, who was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra in 2020 when Disha Salian and actor Sushant Singh Rajput died, responded to the matter for the first time on Thursday saying he was surprised why this case had not been raised earlier, particularly when the Assembly was in session.
Uddhav denied and dismissed all the allegations levelled against his son Aaditya, stating that if there is evidence, it should be submitted, and they will see it in court.
