New Delhi: A Delhi Police Sub-Inspector (SI) was stabbed while conducting a raid in Baljit Nagar, Anand Parbat, on Monday. The officer, SI Neeraj, was investigating a recent robbery case in Rajendra Nagar when the attack took place.
Raid Turns Violent
The robbery incident occurred in Rajendra Nagar on Sunday night. During the investigation, police identified a suspect after analyzing CCTV footage.
Acting on the lead, SI Neeraj and his team reached Baljit Nagar, a high-crime area, to apprehend the suspects.
While the police attempted to detain a group of people sitting in a local park, one of the criminals suddenly attacked SI Neeraj with a knife.

Officer Out of Danger, Two Suspects in Custody
According to officials, SI Neeraj sustained minor injuries and was immediately rushed to Ganga Ram Hospital, where he received treatment. A police official confirmed, "He is out of danger and recovering well."
Meanwhile, Delhi Police successfully detained two suspects from the scene, while a manhunt is underway for the remaining criminals.

Accused Criminal Record
The police team had gone to arrest Raju, a wanted criminal with an FIR registered in Moti Nagar. SI Neeraj and four colleagues were attempting to nab him when the attack took place.
Officials have assured that all efforts are being made to arrest the remaining suspects.
