Disha Salian Case: Amid growing demands for a thorough investigation into the death of celebrity manager Disha Salian, Shiv Sena MLA Bhavna Gawli has called for a narco test on Aaditya Thackeray, son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

In the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Gawli raised the issue and demanded the state government clarify its position regarding the allegations made by Disha Salian’s family lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, against Aaditya Thackeray in connection with her death.

“Why has Aaditya Thackeray not yet undergone a narco test,” she said. Maharashtra’s Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam, assured that action would be taken against anyone found guilty in connection with Disha Salian's death.

What Did Salian's Lawyer Say?

Advocate Nilesh Ojha, told reporters on Tuesday, “We have filed a written complaint with the Commissioner of Police, which has been accepted by the Joint Commissioner of Police Crime. The accused include Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Suraj Pancholi and his bodyguard, Parambir Singh, Sachin Vaze, and Rhea Chakraborty.”

"By claiming that the conspiracy theories are fake, he was trying to divert attention from the real issues." Ojha further added,

Advocate Nilesh Ojha also expressed concerns about the police's handling of the case, stating, "The self-contradicting statements made by DCP Nishant Thakur and Parambir Singh's attempts to downplay the conspiracy theories suggest a larger cover-up."

“It is imperative that the truth is uncovered, and those responsible are held accountable. The families of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput deserve justice, and it is our duty to ensure that they receive it,” he said.

The plea filed by Satish Salian has sought direction to the Mumbai police to register an FIR based on a written complaint given by activist and lawyer Rashid Khan Pathan in January 2024 against Shiv Sena-UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray. The plea has also sought to transfer the probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
