BREAKING: Fire Breaks Out At Shoe Shop Near Najafgarh In Delhi, Dousing Operations Underway

New Delhi: A fire broke out at a shoe factory near Nangloi-Najafgarh road in Delhi, officials said on Sunday. 

No casualties have been reported in the incident. 

According to fire department, fire tenders present at the spot and carrying out dousing operations. 

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, they said.

“Firefighting operations are underway,” officiais said.

Deputy Fire Officer SK Dua said that dousing operations are underway for the past 5 hours. 

"Delhi Fire Brigade received the information at 3 pm... Around 28 to 30 vehicles are working at the spot... We have been trying to douse the fire for around 5 hours... The firefighting operation will be over in a short while... The factory was closed and no one was present inside but once the fire is completely doused, we will investigate inside it.," he said.

Earlier, a fire broke out in a house near Aadharshila Vidyapeeth in Pitampura in Delhi, officials said. 

No casualties were reported in the incident. 

Five fire tenders have been dispatched to the spot of the incident, where a fire ignited in household items on the fourth floor.
