New Delhi: The Delhi airport authority issued clarification after reports of massive power outage at Indira Gandhi Internation Airport surfaced on Monday.

The authorities said that power outage was reported for mere 10 seconds at the Delhi airport, and the main problem was with the air-conditioner system that stopped working for almost one hour due to power load.

The Digi Yatra facility at the entrance level was affected due to system reboot, the Delhi airport authority added.

Reports claimed that an electrical power failure at Indian capital's main airport disrupted the radar system, affecting timely arrival and departure of international and domestic flights on Monday.

The power cut affected the servers that control the radar system which is used to detect and display the presence and position of aircraft in the terminal area, the airspace around airports.

However, the Delhi airport authority confirmed that none of the flights were affected due to power outage as the Air Trafffic Control (ATC) system was functional.

According to reports, the machines and security check-in zones were affected due to electricity cut, causing an unprecedented trouble to the flyers.

With operational problem with the air-conditioning system, the passengers had to sit at Delhi airport which has no window ventilation installed.
