Breaking: Schools in Ayodhya to Remain Closed on September 28 Due to Heavy Rains
Schools in Ayodhya to remain closed on September 28 due to continuous heavy rains, waterlogging, and stormy weather.
Ayodhya: The Education Officer of Ayodhya has declared a holiday for all schools from Class 1 to 12 on Saturday, September 28, citing continuous heavy rainfall across the city. "In an official notification, Ayodhya's Education Officer said that all schools from Class 1 to 12 will remain closed tomorrow, September 28, due to the continuous heavy rain in the city."
Heavy rains, which began in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday evening, have severely affected daily life. "Monsoon has once again started wreaking havoc as it is about to leave. Along with rain, winds are also blowing at a speed of 30 to 35 km per hour," said a local source. Fearing a repeat of stormy rains like those in Mumbai, authorities have ordered the closure of schools and colleges.
In Sultanpur, the heavy rainfall has caused severe damage, turning roads into ponds and even damaging a bridge. "The rain that started at 8 pm on Thursday night is continuing throughout the day today. Due to the rain, schools up to class eight have been closed." Waterlogging has been reported across urban and rural areas, with fields overflowing and houses collapsing in certain places. Rail services have also been disrupted, with waterlogging on the tracks at Pakhrauli railway station along the Lucknow-Varanasi rail route.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as the monsoon continues to impact the region.
