Hazaribagh: Tension gripped Hazaribagh on Maha Shivratri as violent clashes broke out between two groups, resulting in arson and stone-pelting. Several vehicles were set ablaze, prompting heavy police deployment to control the situation. Personnel from multiple police stations were rushed to the scene as authorities worked to restore order.

Sound System Dispute Sparked Clashes

According to officials, the violence erupted in the Ichak area following a scuffle over the use of a sound system during celebrations. Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay confirmed that stone-pelting ensued, leading to chaos in the region.

"Adequate forces have been deployed, and senior officers are camping at the site. As of now, the situation is under control and peaceful," she assured.

Union Minister Sanjay Seth Blames Infiltrators

Reacting strongly to the incident, Union Minister and BJP MP from Ranchi, Sanjay Seth, condemned the violence and linked it to alleged infiltration. "This is condemnable and painful. The government must take strict action. Violence occurs during idol immersion after Saraswati Puja, during Ram Navami , Holi , and now on Maha Shivratri. Who is trying to disturb peace?" he questioned.

Seth further alleged that such incidents were unique to Jharkhand , blaming Bangladeshi infiltrators for disturbing law and order.

"Nowhere else in the country does such violence happen. It happens in Jharkhand because Bangladeshi infiltrators are affecting the demography and law & order. Wherever there is a BJP- NDA government—be it Delhi, Assam , Madhya Pradesh , Maharashtra , or Uttar Pradesh—Bangladeshi infiltrators are identified and driven out," he asserted.

Call for Stronger Law and Order Measures

The Union Minister urged the Jharkhand government to take decisive action. "I urge the Chief Minister to strengthen law and order, prevent riots, and identify these infiltrators so they can be sent out of India," Seth stated.

Meanwhile, security forces continue to monitor the situation in Hazaribagh, with officials working to ensure peace. Investigations are underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events that led to the clashes.
