Agra: A plane carrying Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was forced to return to Agra airport shortly after takeoff on Wednesday due to a technical glitch.
The aircraft, which had taken off from Kheria Airport in Agra, made an immediate return after encountering the problem. If reports are to be believed, the unexpected development led to a stir among UP officials, who rushed back to the airport to assess the situation.
Reports stated that CM Yogi remains at Kheria Airport as engineers conduct a thorough inspection of the aircraft. Senior officials, including the Commissioner of Police (CP) and District Magistrate (DM), are present at the site to oversee the situation.
Meanwhile, a scheduled event at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, which was set to mark eight years of governance in Uttar Pradesh, has been cancelled. CM Yogi was supposed to travel from Agra to Lucknow to attend the programme.
