Cab Driver Stabs Woman To Death Inside Her House In Delhi’s Kalyanpuri
In East Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area, a cab driver brutally stabbed a woman to death inside her house on Wednesday.
New Delhi: In East Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area, a cab driver brutally stabbed a woman to death inside her house on Wednesday. The accused after killing the woman fled the spot. On information, the Kalyanpuri police team rushed to the spot and shifted the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. The police registered a case and arrested the accused, identified as Suresh Kumar, in a few hours.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Delhi) stated, “Today on September 11, an MLC was received from Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital that one Rekha, resident of Trilok Puri, Delhi, age 40 years, was admitted to the hospital by her husband with an alleged history of being found injured at the aforementioned address. Unfortunately, she was declared dead upon arrival.”
Upon receiving this information, the local police rushed to the hospital and discovered that the deceased had multiple stab injuries. The police immediately proceeded to the crime scene, where the crime scene was inspected by the crime team, the DCP said.
On enquiry, the family members of the deceased informed that their neighbour, Suresh Kumar (48), a resident of Trilok Puri, stabbed the deceased identified as Rekha. CCTV footage from a nearby camera showed the alleged entering and exiting the deceased’s house, the police official stated.
The body has been shifted to a mortuary for post-mortem and the suspect, Suresh Kumar, has been apprehended. The police are interrogating the accused.
Further legal action is being taken into the matter.
