Caste Census Report To Be Placed In Karnataka Cabinet Soon: Reports

Bengaluru: Caste Census report is expected to be placed soon in the Karnataka cabinet, reports said on Monday. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a statement said he has conveyed to all the MLAs that the report on caste census will be placed before the Cabinet to further discuss it.

During Kumaraswamy's tenure, the Kanthraj caste census report was rejected. In our tenure, it's headed by Jayaprakash Hegde. There are several demands to implement the report. We'll take a call and implement it based on discussions that will take place in the Cabinet.

Lot of leaders including Hariprasad have spoken on the issue… they all have given me a memorandum and requested the government to accept and implement the caste census report. This isn't just a survey for backward class but of 7 crore kannadigas.
