So far Baghpat police has arrested three suspects, including the son of a village pradhan (head), other remains at large.

Baghpat: A disturbing video from Baghpat has gone viral, showing a man being brutally attacked and abducted in broad daylight on Delhi-Saharanpur National Highway 709B. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.

In the video, the victim can be seen sitting on his motorcycle when suddenly, over a dozen men rush toward him from two cars. He tries to escape, but the attackers grab him, thrash him mercilessly, and forcefully drag him into one of the cars. The vehicle then speeds away. Later, the kidnappers thrown him on the highway, as per local media reports.  

The police believe the attack could be linked to an election-related dispute. As soon as the video surfaced online, the Baraut police took action. They rescued the victim and started an investigation. So far, three suspects have been arrested, including the son of a village pradhan (head).

The police also seized the car used in the crime and recovered two sticks believed to have been used in the attack. The case has been registered under Crime No. 174/25 at Baraut police station, with charges under sections 191(2), 191(3), 115(2), and 110 of the BNS.

Social media platforms, especially X, have been flooded with posts condemning the brutality, with many users tagging @baghpatpolice and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister @myogiadityanath, demanding  justice. The incident’s location on NH 709B, a busy route in western UP, has added to the shock, as no bystanders stepped in to help the victim during the attack.

Police is continuing their manhunt for the remaining suspects, relying on CCTV evidence and witness accounts to piece together the motive and bring all culprits to justice.
