Mumbai: In a shocking turn of events, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a closure report in two cases related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput case, effectively shutting down the investigation into the late actor's death. The reports, submitted in a Mumbai court, concluded that no evidence was found to establish any foul play behind his death. The move has sparked widespread outrage and disappointment among Sushant's fans and family, who had been demanding justice for the actor. The Sushant Singh Rajput case has been a highly publicised and contentious one, with many theories and speculations surrounding the actor's death. While the CBI's closure report has concluded that Sushant's death was a suicide, many have raised doubts about the investigation's findings. Sushant's family and fans have been vocal in their demands for justice, alleging that the actor was murdered and that the investigation has been botched.

As per sources, one report pertained to the abetment to suicide case filed by Rajput's father, KK Singh, while the other report relates to the complaint filed by Rhea Chakraborty, Rajput's rumoured girlfriend, against his sisters. The CBI submitted its findings on Rajput's father's complaint in a closure report before a special court in Patna. Meanwhile, the closure report in the second case was submitted before a special court in Mumbai. The courts will now decide whether to accept the report or order further investigation by the agency.

Rhea Chakraborty's advocate, Satish Maneshinde, welcomed the closure report, saying, "We thank the CBI for having thoroughly investigated every aspect of the case from all angles". The CBI's investigation found no evidence of foul play in Rajput's death, and the agency has concluded that there was no criminal conspiracy or wrongdoing involved.

CBI Took Over Case In August 2020

The CBI took over the investigation in August 2020, following an FIR filed by Sushant's father, KK Singh, in Patna. The FIR accused actress Rhea Chakraborty and others of abetment to suicide, financial fraud, and mental harassment. Rhea Chakraborty subsequently filed a counter-complaint in Mumbai, alleging that Sushant's sisters had obtained a fake medical prescription for him.

After years of investigation, the CBI has now filed closure reports in both cases, indicating that their probe did not uncover any criminal conspiracy or wrongdoing leading to Sushant's death.

The CBI's closure reports mark a big turning point in the case, which has been the subject of intense speculation and debate. While many have theorised about the circumstances surrounding Sushant's death, the CBI's investigation has found no evidence to support these claims.

The Sushant Singh Rajput case has been a highly publicised and contentious one, with many questioning the investigation's findings and others criticising the media's coverage of the case. The CBI's closure reports are likely to spark further debate and discussion, as many seek to understand the circumstances surrounding Sushant's tragic death.

Meanwhile, Sushant's family has not yet commented on the CBI's closure reports, however, in the past, they have expressed concerns about the investigation and its findings.

Sushant Singh Rajput's death case has taken a big turn with the Bombay High Court's recent hearing on the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) related to his death. Ahead of the hearing, Sushant's father, KK Singh, expressed hope for justice under the new Maharashtra government, despite being disappointed with the CBI's probe. He has consistently maintained that Sushant could not have died by suicide, and the CBI's investigation did not do justice to the case. However, he remains optimistic about the court proceedings, saying, "I hope that whatever comes out of the court will be right. And hopefully, it will come out soon."

The case has been marred by controversy, with allegations of foul play and cover-ups. The PIL, filed by the Supreme Court and High Courts' Litigants' Association, has raised allegations of gang rape, murder, and a cover-up to save high-profile accused, including Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray.
