CJP Protest Delhi LIVE: New Delhi is witnessing heightened security on Saturday as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) prepares to hold a protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The protesters are demanding the CEC’s resignation and the rollback of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, alleging irregularities in the voter-list revision exercise. The demonstration comes amid a wider political confrontation over the Election Commission’s handling of electoral rolls, with the opposition raising concerns over voter inclusion and exclusion. The allegations against CEC also include claims that Form 6, used to register new voters, was altered without the involvement of the CEC's two colleagues.
Anticipating a large turnout, Delhi Police has tightened security across the national capital, deploying around 25,000 police and paramilitary personnel and preparing for an estimated 7,000 protesters. More than 120 companies of Central Armed Police Forces are expected to assist with security arrangements. Police have also carried out preventive detentions, with around 500 people reportedly taken into custody as groups arrived in the city, including nearly 50 people with criminal antecedents. The New Delhi district has been divided into 20 security zones, while checks have been intensified at city borders, railway stations and bus terminals. Police have urged personnel to exercise maximum restraint while handling the gathering.

CJP Protest Delhi LIVE: Nitin Nabin Accuses Rahul Gandhi, CJP of Plot to Destabilise India Ahead of Protest
CJP Protest Delhi LIVE: BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Saturday accused the Opposition of attempting to destabilise the country, as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and INDIA bloc prepared to hold a protest in New Delhi against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Addressing a press conference amid the planned demonstration, Nabin alleged that two groups, one led by Rahul Gandhi and the other comprising associates of Arvind Kejriwal under CJP, were trying to create instability for political gains and at the behest of “foreign forces”.
"Today, an attempt is being made to create a highly dangerous and serious situation in the country. Efforts are underway to destabilise the nation, where 1.4 billion people are living in peace and harmony, contributing collectively to India's development. Who is doing this? Two anarchic groups: one led by Rahul Gandhi of the 'INDI Alliance', and the other led by Arvind Kejriwal's associates, CJP," Nabin said.
He further accused the groups of refusing to accept the people's verdict and pursuing political agendas instead. "I want to say that you are undertaking these efforts, driven by your political agendas, at the behest of foreign forces," he said.
Nabin also asserted that the Opposition was unable to accept India's progress and said citizens would unite against what he described as attempts to undermine the country. The BJP chief's remarks came as CJP pressed ahead with its proposed protest at Jantar Mantar, demanding Gyanesh Kumar's resignation and opposing the SIR exercise.
