Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar Offers To Buy Stake In Dharma Productions: 'For Jacqueline...'
Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail on charges of extortion, offered Karan Johar to buy stakes in Dharma Productions.
New Delhi: Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail on charges of extortion, recently extended an offer to filmmaker Karan Johar proposing to take a 50-70 percent stake in the latter’s Dharma Productions.
Chandrasekhar had sent a ‘Letter of Intent’ from Tihar Jail, one of Asia’s largest prisons.
In the letter, Chandrasekhar conveyed his desire to acquire a controlling stake in Dharma Productions, highlighting that the offer was 'non-negotiable.' He mentioned that if the terms were accepted, the deal could be completed within 48 hours.
“This is a letter of intent regarding acquiring a major portion of stake in your company, Dharma Productions,” read the letter, which was later released by Sukesh’s PR team.

The letter went on to state that Sukesh's financial advisor had indicated that Dharma Productions was looking for investment, and Sukesh's company, LS Holdings, aimed to assist with the company's growth.
Recognizing the difficulties stemming from his controversial reputation, Sukesh acknowledged that the proposal might appear 'unusual,' but he stressed that his intentions were sincere.

Sukesh also conveyed his admiration for Karan Johar, calling him a 'wonderful human' and noting the respect that Jacqueline Fernandez, whom he referred to as the “love of his life,” holds for him.
“For me, movies are not just a business, but a passion and an emotion, as I am personally a movie buff. I am sure this offer may seem unusual, coming from the walls of Asia’s largest prison, but Karan, the best and wonderful things happen from extraordinary situations, places, and persons,” the letter read.
Adar Poonawalla Acquires 50% Stake In Dharma Productions
Adar Poonawalla's Serene Production has signed an agreement to invest Rs 1,000 crore in Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment. As part of this deal, Serene Production has acquired a 50 per cent stake in both entities for the amount invested.
"I am delighted to have the opportunity to partner with one of the most iconic production houses in our nation, along with my friend Koran Johar We hope to build and grow Dharma and scale even greater heights in the years to come," said AdarPoonawalla in a statement released by Dharma Productions.
