New Delhi: In a fiery speech following India's Operation Sindoor—a calculated strike that wiped out terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir—Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the Indian armed forces for executing a mission that combined “valour with humanity.”
At the inauguration of 50 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) projects across six states and two Union Territories, Singh echoed the nation’s pride with “Bharat Mata Ki Jai!”
Drawing a powerful analogy from the Ramayana, Singh said the Indian forces followed the doctrine of “Jinh mohi maara, tinh mohi maare”—a code of righteous retaliation. “We only targeted those who killed our innocent citizens,” he said, emphasizing that the operation was not against civilians or territory, but against terror.
This was a direct message to Pakistan that India’s strike was not an act of war, but a precision payback to the Pahalgam terrorist attack that claimed the lives of unarmed Indian tourists.
Singh, addressing a visibly charged crowd, said, “Last night, our armed forces scripted a new history. They displayed unmatched bravery and precision.” He praised the armed forces for striking exactly where it was needed, at the exact time it was required.
“This was not just an operation of strength. It was an operation of sharp intelligence, planning and unmatched discipline. We hit only what needed to be hit,” Singh added.
Rajnath Singh stressed that the Indian forces ensured that no civilian was harmed during the operation, showing the world how a responsible democracy strikes back. “It was a display of not only alertness and precision but also humanity. I salute our jawans for this balanced act of strength and sensitivity,” he said.
Singh also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s leadership for giving the armed forces full support to act decisively. “Under PM Modi’s guidance, our forces have made the entire nation proud. I congratulate him for always standing behind our jawans.”
Operation Sindoor, he noted, was more than a military strike—it was a message to the global community that India will no longer tolerate cross-border terrorism, and those who shelter terrorists will not go unpunished.
