Delhi Hit-And-Run: 3 Dead, 2 Injured as Speeding Truck Crushes 5 People Sleeping on Road Divider

New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a speeding truck crushed five homeless people, leaving three dead, in East Delhi on Monday morning. The accident took place at Shastri Park area. According to sources, five people, who were sleeping on the divider, were run over by a truck at around 5.30 am.

Soon after, the injured were rushed to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital where three were declared dead. Two among the injured were in critical condition and referred to GTB Hospital.

After the crash, the truck driver fled the scene. The identity of the victims have not been established yet.

The Shastri Park police station has launched an investigation into the incident and is working to identify the victims and determine their ages. Police have launched a aresch to nab the accused driver.
