Delhi's Yellow Line Services Disrupted As Passenger Jumps on Metro Track at Seva Teerth Station

New Delhi: Commuters on the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line faced significant disruptions on Wednesday after a passenger allegedly jumped onto the track at the Seva Teerth metro station (formerly Udyog Bhawan), authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred during operational hours, prompting emergency protocols across the busy transit corridor connecting Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram.

Following the event, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issued an official service update notifying commuters of delayed operations along the Yellow Line. 

To facilitate rescue efforts and ensure passenger safety, train movements were briefly regulated, leading to accumulated crowds and increased waiting times at several major stations along the route.

Security personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with local station staff, rushed to the spot to assist the individual and clear the tracks.

Further details regarding the identity of the passenger, their condition, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are currently awaited as local authorities carry out an inquiry.

DMRC officials confirmed that normal train operations were progressively restored across the corridor once safety clearances were obtained.
